I tried out a Nintendo Wii for the first time shortly after Christmas, while visiting friends of mine who had scored one of the elusive new gaming consoles as a present for their daughter. Let me tell you, I fell instantly in love. The Wii combines the traditionally cheerful Nintendo gaming look (which lead to phenomenal successes like the Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog series) with a truly innovative control system. Instead of controlling the events on the screen with thumbsticks or buttons, the Nintendo reacts to the way you move your hands.
Yowee, say goodbye to couch potato gaming styles! I actually worked up a sweat playing the sports games that come standard with the Wii system, such as tennis and boxing. These games were not only fun, they were active, too. I was already a fan of games that get you moving, such as Dance Dance Revolution and Guitar Hero, but the Wii brought the gaming in motion experience to a whole new level. Unfortunately, I only had a couple of hours to play with this incredible console before I had to return home again.
That's why the Nintendo Wii is one of the top prizes on my "I'd like to win that!" list. If you feel the same way - or if you have a friend or family member who would! - you need to check out the Put Some Play in Your Day Sweepstakes from Nestle. To celebrate the arrival of their new Nestle Crisp chocolate bars, the company is giving away 10 of these hot new gaming systems to U.S. residents aged 18 and up. Enter one time between now and October 1 for your chance to win.
And that's not all - the website is also giving away coupons for a free candy bar as well. They are giving away 2,000 candy bars a day, between 9 am and 5 pm PT. So even if you're not lucky enough to win a Wii, you can at least receive something sweet for your trouble.
