Sweepstakes Cookies - What Are Cookies, and Why Do Sweepstakes Require Them?

Have you ever tried to enter a sweepstake, only to get an error message because the website told you that you needed to have cookies to participate? No, the site is not hungry and looking for a bribe! Cookies are a programming tool used to help identify you on a website, making it easier to do things like log into a members-only area.
