Share Your Wins for October 2008!
Thursday November 1, 2007
So October is finally over, we're all contentedly stuffed with Halloween candy (or maybe that's just me!), and happily exhausted from filling out the forms from the sweepstakes that ended yesterday. So now comes the best time of the month - sharing our wins! Leave me a comment and tell me what fantastic prizes you received for the month.
For example, Kym, one of my readers wrote in the other day and said:
What a great day I've had! I won a Shaw Rug early this morning and FedEx delivered a letter telling me I'd won a $1,000 prize from another company. I had just about given up hope. I've been sweeping for a year solid. I won a few little things. Barely enough to keep me interested. But I'm no quitter! And I actually enjoy the hunt for new sweeps. So I kept at it. Two wins in 12 hours. I'm delirious! Remind your readers, it can & does happen. And thanks again for your e-course a while back. It was there I discovered it was ok to use Roboform, I wasn't cheating! Big hugs! How about you guys? Any surprises show up at your door? Did you hit any instants? Let me know in the comments!

I won a power paint set worth about $75 from the Maxwell House “Spruce Up Your House II” sweepstake. The funny thing is, it appeared on my doorstep 2 days before a planned re-paint of my kitchen. I was just about to head to the paint store!
What wonderful timing, Gay! Congratulations on a nice win!
I won third place on the M&M million dollar give away. It was a set of three DVD’s.
I got an email saying I’d won a prize from the Fred Claus giveaway-didn’t say what it was though! I’ll have to wait that ubiquitous 4-6 weeks. Congrats on your great wins!
I won from the Fred Claus giveaway too! So exciting and I can’t wait to see what arrives.
Let’s hear about more wins! Yay!
I got two instant wins. I won a #20 tony stewart hat from armor all and a
5 dollar orange julius gift card.
I won a $50 gift card from the Longhorn sweepstakes. Love your site and have received some valuable information here. Thanks.
Congratulations, David! Those movies sounded like a lot of fun, I wonder which titles you’ll end up receiving!
Penny, Trina, how exciting! The weekly prizes from the Fred Claus sweep are really nice, I hope it’s one of those! Be sure to come back and let me know when you find out, I’m really curious!
Congratulations, Daniel! I’ve been entering for Armor All, too, but haven’t had any luck. I think I need to enter more instants this month!
Gloria, very nice win! I hope you’re able to get something really great with your gift card!
I won a Monthly drawing in the Spin to Win sweeps, $25! Not much…but enough to keep me trying.
Congratulations, Tim, I won that one, too! You’re right that it’s not a huge win, but it sure is nice to get a check in the mail, isn’t it?
I won two tickets from a local radio station(I’m part of their mailing list), and sold both for $20. So far I’ve only won locally (except movie tickets to Simpsons once). Sandra, how many sweepstakes do you enter per week?
I won 2 small prizes this month, both from entering codes from soda bottle caps. One was a DVD of “NFL Follies” from the Pepsi “You Call the Play” sweepstakes, and the other was a Dr Pepper baseball cap from the Dr Pepper “1 in 6 Wins” sweepstakes. I received both this week. I really appreciate your site & newsletter, I get to hear about sweeps that I otherwise would not know about! (I took the e-mail course, too!)
Congratulations, Jon! And good question. I generally try to enter about 100 to 125 sweeps a day. With Roboform, this doesn’t take me very long – I usually spend less than an hour a day entering.
I was really busy in October, though, so my entries slacked off – and I could really see the results in the lack of prizes for the month. I had a few small wins, but nothing that exciting.
Luckily, November looks a little more sane, and I’m back to entering fairly regularly. I like to enter in the mornings right after I wake up. Not only is this a nice way for me to start the day (and often gives me great ideas for things to write about for you guys!), but it also is a better time to enter instant win sweepstakes since there are probably fewer other people entering so early.
Very nice wins, Pam! I almost always forget about bottle cap sweepstakes – and I guess a lot of other people do, too, since the odds seem to be pretty good. I’ll have to remember to keep my eye out for them more often.
Woohoo! I won my 1st prize today! The prize was a T-shirt from the Jack Links Sasquatch game. I’m having a blast playing the games at the contest sites.
New sweeper here and thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you so much for all of the informative articles!
Woohoo, Deb, that’s great news! Congratulations, I’m so happy for you!!
I hope many more prizes are quick to follow this one
Thank you for the tip about Roboform! With my schedule I was struggling to enter 50 sweepstakes a week (and you enter 100/125 per hour!). Good luck to everyone in November.
Oh, there’s no way I could do it without Roboform! It makes entering so much simpler.
I won 3 DVD’s in the M&M sweepstakes. I waited until they arrived to tell you.
Woot, congratulations, Sindy! I’m really curious, which three titles did you receive?
A few weeks ago, I received notice that I won a prize package from Bud Light that included 20″ custom wheels, tires, performance exhaust system, DVD player and two 7″ headrest monitors. I should receive my prize as early as next week, and can’t wait to put it all on my SUV!
Aside from an instant win prize I won earlier in the month for 3 weeks free movie rentals from Rodgers Video Direct (Contest via Breyers Icecream), I won my first real on-line contest! It was a “enter only once” contest from Exclaim! magazine. The prize was a Fujifilm Finepix Z10 Digital Camera and 2 tickets to see Brandi Carlile in concert (fabulous concert by the way…love her voice!). Happy! Happy! Happy!
Mo, that sounds like a great prize! I’m glad you know what to do with all that, I’d be totally clueless!
Woohooooo, Kim! Very nice win, how fantastic to get to see a performer you enjoy in concert!
$25 from the Transitions Lenses contest. A check just unexpectedly arrived in the mail.
Congratulations, Ed! I’ll miss that sweep, it sure had a lot of winners!
I won a $1000 donation for my son’s soccer club from Publix/Coca-Cola! I’m now up to $6500 since I started sweeping 3 years ago. This is fun!
Jeani, that’s a great win! I’m sure that’ll make a big difference to all of the kids on your son’s soccer team!
Starting early this year very slowly, I just won yesterday and today, my 2nd and 3rd instant wins, 168 sticks of Mintfinity gum (my name for it), and a box of Little Debbie cupcakes. Who knows what lies ahead? It just feels good to be a winner!
I’m curious, if you use Roboform, what happens with the contests which forbid anything automatic? Or do you use separate bookmarks and separate technique to enter those. I enter 150 daily sweeps, plus weekly, monthly and 1 time only. It takes 2-3 hours with Charters lowest fast internet. Mac OSX has it’s own memory automatically filling in blanks that it remembers.
I guess many of us had Minifinity for a name in the Stride contest. I received my “custom” packs also!
This month is the first time I’ve won something worth more than $50.00. I won a suede and snakeskin clutch from Peeptoes in Australia. The odd thing is I don’t remember entering for this. I think it was a magazine sweep, like madberries or something. Then just yesterday I got a flip ultra video from a Little Debbies sweep.
I want to say congrats to all the winners and hang in there to the ones getting discouraged. Keep entering you will win.
After winning an essay contest a work this summer, I jumped into sweepstakes entering. I just got my first return – $150 worth of books from Simon & Schuster Publishing! A great start and I’m confident I’ll win more in the future!
I scored (2) M&M candy coupons for free bag, a Tolani scarf from Lucky ($95 value), R2X floor cleaner from Shaw, $5.00 from Cheerios, jar of salsa from Pace, and the Bacardi Mixer Pitcher set. I am happy w/ these few wins, as I have not been able to enter as much as I would like!
I love your enthusiasm, guys, but you’re a little too early! This post was for last year. I’ll be posting my new calls for wins in October (2009) tomorrow
In the meantime, I updated the post’s title to make it more obvious. Sorry about the confusion!
