the rules say contest ends in November but the prize drawing is done in September. not sure about this one!

From what I can see, the sweepstakes ends in August. From the rules:
“All entries (electronic or mail) must be received by 11:59 P.M. Eastern Time on August 21, 2008… All winners will be chosen randomly at a drawing on or before August 31, 2008… The winner will be contacted on or before September 6, 2008.”
Are you perhaps looking at the start date?
