Third Sweepstakes Newsletter?

Tuesday July 15, 2008

Recently, I've been adding more new sweepstakes every week than I can fit into my two sweepstakes newsletters.

I'd like to be able to tell you about all of the great new sweepstakes, and also to highlight some of the older sweepstakes on the site that tend to get forgotten over time. So I was thinking about maybe adding a third newsletter, to go out on Saturdays. I would feature sweepstakes articles and new sweepstakes on Monday, more new sweepstakes on Thursday, and some really nice older sweepstakes on Saturdays.

I wanted to ask for your opinion first, however. Would you like to receive an extra sweepstakes newsletter every week, or would it be too much information to receive in your email inbox? Let me know by voting in my poll. If you have any comments to add, just click on the comment button below.

If you haven't already, you might want to consider subscribing to my sweepstakes newsletter. It's free, and packed with great sweepstakes information. It's a fantastic way to stay up-to-date with the latest tips and chances to win.

I wish there was a quicker way to get to your about.com contest page via the e-newsletter. When I get it via email, it is a reminder to check what’s new in creative contests, which is the bulk of what I enter. But the categories that are displayed on the newsletter don’t really help me get to the contest homepage…unless I’m doing something wrong (which I probably am!) Thanks for hard work! I do appreciate it.

Sandra, you just made my day. I would rather view your newsletter than scan through others. I use my favorites for sweeps and put entries into files that help me keep organized. Do have problems finding code words for quick & simple. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Rosemary! There is a Quick and Simple Codes thread in the Sweepstakes Forum that might help you :)

Mark, I agree, that is a little frustrating. That’s the way that the About newsletters are designed. If you click on any link, and then click on the “Contests & Sweepstakes” link up at the top, right under the About.com logo, it should bring you to the main page. Sorry about the inconvenience!

Hey I would love to have them listed in a long list as well as the catagories that you have on the website. Another newsletter sounds okay but I think once a week is good too.

Thanks, Scott! The Sweepstakes by Expiration Date page has all of the sweepstakes in one long list for you :)

Sandra, I would absolutely love having a third NL for contests and sweepstakes! I love to read your newsletter the most, that I save it for last. I have to go through my entire mail box first and weed out all the spam and unwanted crap. Then my fav. newsletter! Don’t they all say “Save the best for last?” Sandra, although I don’t think you’d have time for it, I would love to see you generate several newsletters at once! I would love it! What else would there be to read? Not much. I’d be quite busy reading and entering various contess and sweeps all the time!
