Your Favorite Prize Win of 2008
Don't be too sad about all of your favorite sweeps which will be gone after today, however. Tomorrow also marks the start of all of the 2009 Sweepstakes, which I'm going to be adding en masse. I already know of at least one mega sweepstakes which is going to be up tomorrow, so be extra sure to stop by and see all of the New Sweepstakes.
This is also the day for looking back over 2008 and all of its ups and downs. Tomorrow, I'll put up my monthly post asking what everyone won in December, but today I'd like to hear -- what is your single favorite prize win of 2008? Big or small, what prize was most exciting to hear about, or gave you the most joy when you received it, or became something that you didn't even know you needed, but now use every day? Click on the "Comments" link below to share your favorite win of the year.
And while you're at it, include in your New Year's Resolution your determination to be luckier and win more prizes next year! I've created a list of my own Sweepstakes Resolutions for the New Year, and now you can share your resolutions, too. There are already some great resolutions for fellow sweepers at the end of the article.
Most of all, though, I'd like to win each and every one of you a happy and healthy New Year, full of friendship, laughter, and lots and lots of prize wins! Happy New Year!

For me, it’s a hard choice, but I think my favorite win of the year was the Limited-Edition Dark Knight Xbox 360 that I won from Domino’s Pizza.
Not only was the console itself wonderful, but as much as I would have liked to keep it, I was able to sell it on eBay and use the money to buy myself a Wii and a Wii Fit, which were my most-wished-for prizes. I’ve played with those two nearly every day since I got them, and I really love them.
Since I’m a beginner at this and have only won 2 small prizes during Christmas week, I’ll say my favorite win was seeing that I DID have a win.
I wish you a very happy start of a wonderful year ahead. Thank you for all that you do.
My favorite would be the $100 Sprite Visa card I won through My Coke Rewards. We were trying to take a quick trip to the beach and just didn’t think we had the money. Once I received the Sprite card it paid for an extra night in the hotel and really made our long weekend vacation.
June, a big congratulations on your first wins. I remember the thrill of realizing I really could win sweepstakes, and how exciting it was.
I’m glad you’ve experienced the thrill of a win, too, and hope many more follow
Oh, TKHarmonic, that sounds like a win that came at a perfect time!
I won one of those gift certificates, too, and I used it to buy Cirque du Soliel tickets while I was in Las Vegas. I had wanted to see them for years, so it was fantastic to finally have the opportunity to do it, without having to pay for the tickets myself
My best prize of the year was my best prize win ever. The grand prize in APC’s Passage to Paradise sweepstakes was a cruise in the Caribbean. This was the biggest prize I have won in nearly 30 years of off and on sweepstaking. The cruise was one of the best vacations I have had. We had a great time!
My favorite prize was being selected as one of the 10 finalists in the CVS For All The Ways You Care essay contest. I won a fabulous trip to NYC, $10k, and an appearance on Good Morning America. An amazing experience and wonderful people!
Jane, what a fantastic win, I can see why it was your favorite!
IntuitiveLuck, that’s definitely a prize to remember! Congratulations again on such a big win!

James, I’d love to win a trip to Hawaii! How was it? I’ve heard it’s amazing. Congratulations on your big prize!
Wow, Stooks, Athens is another place on my list of destinations I’d love to see! Did you get to explore some amazing ruins?
VM, congratulations on the birth of your son, as well as on your big prize! It’s wonderful to hear about prizes coming just in the nick of time to really help out.
Velma, it’s nice to hear from you! Your winning story was one of the coolest I’ve heard. A big congratulations to you again!
Terry, it’s great to hear that you had such a lucky year! I still think it’s incredible people will pay $5,000 for a purse. I’d love to see one up close like that, even for just a little while. I’m so glad that you had so much fun with your prizes, and I hope 2009 is even better!
I didn’t win anything really big this last year, but I did win several smaller cash and gift card prizes totalling about $250. Given that I made about 25% less than normal this year with the state of the economy, these little “bonuses” were a help! So glad for this website-it’s a big help in finding good sweeps to enter!
My favorite win was the Swiss Tourist Board’s trip to Switzerland. We had had so much fun exploring a incredibly beautiful new country!
my favorite win was my biggest win, $1000 dollars from when I was a contestant on a game show.
My absolute best win was winning the trip to Egypt from Dr.Pepper/Expedia.com!!
Second best, winning the Honeycomb Ipod that I won four nights ago!
Last night for New Years Eve, I wore the Key of Life earrings I bought in Egypt and told myslef if I am wearing them when we go into the new year, I will win another trip this year, lol. I’m hoping to make that come true!
Nay1020 that sounds like an amazing experience! What did you think of the cruise?
You’re welcome, Penny! I love those little gift cards and things like that, too. They really help to keep my enthusiasm up between bigger wins!
Ooh, Nan, that does sound cool! Which parts of Switzerland did you get to visit?
Jason, that sounds awesome! Which game show were you on?
Char, I hope your lucky charm works for you, and that this year’s vacation will be even better than last year’s!
My favorite Sandra would have to be the Ultra Flip Video Camera I won from PepsiStuff and also all of my gift card/pre paid debit cards from several sweeps totaling $370.00.
50$kratf school yeear card was cool the gc even said congrats and got alot of great comments from cashiers and refferals ti this site. loved my pedometers use them daily at work and on vacation (something i would never buy for myself) my 50$ electronics card at the end of 08 brought my yearly total to 445.00 not bad for a 7 month old hobby. loved the spiderwick books (we read alot here) but best “prize” is the hobby itself and the nice folks you get to know here
