$50,000 Overstock Bailout Winner Announced

Overstock.com has issued a press release announcing that the winner of their $50,000 Family Bailout Sweepstakes, which ended on December 22, 2008.

The winner was Ramona Kako, a mother who works two jobs to help support her family. Her husband also works, while studying for a journeyman plumbing license.

Ten names were drawn at random from all of the entries, and interviewed by Overstock.com representatives to determine which family would receive the grand prize.

The $50,000 will be paid directly to the family's mortgage, car loan, or other major creditors. "This will help our family so much," Kako said, according to the press release.
