Are you unsure of your recipe creation skills? Here are some tips on how to create an original recipe.
Judges will select 20 finalists from all the recipes, and put them on a website for a public vote. The recipe that gets the most votes will be deemed the "People's Choice" recipe. It, and four of the other semifinalists chosen by the judges, will win a 7-quart Cuisinart Stand Mixer, a 6-month supply of French's products, and a trip to New York City for the cook-off.
The grand-prize winner will be chosen at the cook-off to receive $25,000.
Entry is open to US residents who are not food professionals, chefs, restaurateurs, food writers, or recipe developers, aged 18 and above. Enter as often as you like through October 31, 2009.
