We are all waiting to find out who won this year's big $500,000 cash prize from the DIY Blog Cabin Sweepstakes, which ended on October 2, 2009. But while you are waiting, DIY is asking you to start thinking about next year's giveaway.
If you have an idea for a beautiful location for next year's log cabin, visit the DIY Blog to share your idea. You can either give a concrete location, or just express what you'd like to see in the perfect log cabin home.
Remember that the winner will be contacted on October 28, 2009, so keep your ears open on that day if you entered the sweepstakes.

How about building the next cabin on a small island off the coast of Oregon or Washinton state, or off the low country of the Carolinas. Both places have unique atmospheres derived from the cultural history and climate of the areas. When you travel there it’s almost like going back to a simpler place and time.

I would like also to see thIs years cabin by a lake or river. I would also like to see geothermal heating added to this cabin. Looking forward to 2010 blog cabin.
