To enter, submit your best recipe for steak on the grill that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less, along with your suggestion for a Beringer wine pairing. Judges are looking for taste appeal, good wine pairing, and simplicity.
10 finalists from each region (for a total of 100 semi-finalists) will be chosen to compete in a regional cook-off. Each semi-finalist will receive a $1,000 cash prize to cover travel expenses.
The winners of each regional cook-off will receive a $5,000 trip for themselves and a guest to Napa Valley, California to compete in the national cook-off.
The grand-prize winner of the national cook-off will receive $15,000. The first runner-up will receive $7,500 while the second runner-up will receive $2,500.
Entry into Beringer's Great Steak Challenge Recipe Contest is open to US residents (void in CA and UT) aged 21 and above. Enter once before June 30, 2010.
