But truth be told, my lack of wins this month wasn't a fluke of the odds, but was my own fault. I had a really busy month, and it was rare that I managed to do my daily entries.
And you know what? That's ok, too. Sweepstakes are a hobby not a job, and if you don't give yourself permission to take a break when you need it, it's a quick road to sweepstakes burnout. The important thing is to not give up altogether, to get those entries in when you can, and to dive back in, fully motivated, when your time opens up again. I've already redoubled my sweepstakes efforts, entering tons of sweeps in the past few days, and hoping that June will be more fruitful than May.
But it still stings to have a non-winning month, so help cheer me up by telling me about all of the fabulous prizes that you all won last month. I got a better one!! I have been entering daily sweepstakes since March 2009. I am religious about getting my entries in. I check in at least once a week to see what has been newly listed and enter every sweepstakes that has a prize or prizes I am interested. I have followed all your suggestions about which ones to enter and how to improve my odds. To date I have won one (1) music download. I think I am just unlucky but I keep going anyway!
T, when it’s a long time between wins and I haven’t been doing anything wrong, I always tell myself that my luck is storing up for a really big win. I hope that’s the case for you!
I had a good month – my best ever, actually. I won a 4GB memory card and a spring cleaning basket from Woman’s Day, a $100.00 gift card to Whole Foods, and $200.00 in merchandise credits to BeyondTheRack.com. The year started off awfully slow, so it’s nice to see things starting to pick up.

I’d been wondering how so many managed to get MULTIPLE wins each month. I stared doing sweepstakes in December and had only ever won from one place. That had been Bare Escentials, but I won 3 instant prizes from them so that was awesome and the rememberance is what kept me from getting discouraged since then. I never did hear anything about the Glee DVD from Dove last month so I guess that was a computer problem dud.
This month I did the multiple win thing too, all instant wins. I won and received a pair of work gloves in the mail, won $50 Live Nation concert cash, and a $25 gift card from M&M! My husband has been using the gloves and I’m thrilled about having a little extra spending money for my vacation with the gift card.

A couple of months ago I started a new strategy and I only enter things I REALLY want to win…I’m selective. I really don’t want more “stuff” hanging around the house that usually doesn’t end up getting used. I figure let those prizes go to those who really want them or who would appreciate them. Why win something just to add to the “Garage Sale” box in the garage??
Even before that my wins were few, maybe $65.00 for the previous year..BUT yesterday my new strategy paid off and I won a pair of “Slenderizing Slacks” worth $158.00. AND it’s something I REALLY wanted. Now if I can get my number of wins up.
Last year to date I entered everything and only won three prizes worth $65.00 so I was getting discouraged – at least this way when I do win it’s something I really want!

I was so busy I didn’t report my April wins which weren’t much and I thought my lack of constant entering would cost me this month.
In April, I won a Uniroyal soccer ball and a three free music downloads from Mike’s Hard Lemonade and that was it. I received my AT&T card I won in March but can’t decide how I want to spend it. I had fun using my Bare Escentuals shopping spree I won in March so that reenergized me to get back into sweeping with gusto.
In May, I won a free M&M’s coupon, the Twizzlers summer fun pack (I can really use that chair!) and a free haircut from Great Clips. Not bad, considering. Now I’m back into my full sweeping mode so I’m ready for some big wins!

In May I won 1 of 50 Outside Magazine giveaway-a $75 pocketknife for a great father’s day gift for my husband. Funny in April I won a local door prize of a $50 gift card, and now first week of June I”ve won a May contest from People magazine $100 spafinder gift card..after 5 years of really good wins I’m starting this year really nice now..always happy with anything I ever win-even a candy bar or a trip to NYC! this is a fun hobby.

May was kinda dry….3 IW …..candy, a Sunoco Nascar hat and on the last day of the month, a year of Claritan. At least I won’t be sneezing with fall allergies. I did receive the Boyfriend Jacket I had won in a previous month. And those freebies keep a comin!

I have never won an instant win and that makes me a little envious of those that have. So far, no wins for the month of May but its still early. I always think I am going to win….since I cannot find a job, this is my job. I did win a couple of grocery items from Kroger that are supposed to show up on my Kroger card (hot dogs and cheese) but that remains to be seen. I will win the Green Home this year!!

All instant and regular wins come when least expected and are always a surprise.
I liked the article about investigative reporter. She should keep going. Ask the sponsors to show from the last ten wins which winners were magazine subscribers compared to non-subscribers. Just to see if we have a remote chance of winning if you are not a subscriber.
One last question. Practically all websites carry the HGTV contest giveaway and such. How much money do they receive for posting that banner?

In May, I was totally surprised when I arrived home to a delivery of a bright yellow box stating “Stimulus Package” on all 4 sides….. I opened it up and it was a case (12 boxes) of Golden Grahams Cereal from General Mills! It was a cute presentation of the winning product and I really do like the cereal!

Won a grocery gift card at the local market (fill out the paper, leave it in the box) and a $5 Starbucks gift card.
First thing I ever one was a fake ‘fancy’ coin from PCH; that’s when I decided just to enter for things I want. I’ve only won a few things but they’ve been grand- 3 nights/4 days in Cabo (filled out a survey from the local rapid transit) and a fancy Danish bicycle (followed up on a comment and webinar combo from an architecture blog).
