You can enter the challenge by racking up points on RecycleBank or the photo contest by submitting a picture that shows "the best example of a greener, more energy efficient living room, the best example of a reuse of bathroom items, or the best example of how you made a green difference on Earth Day."
The challenge winners will receive a Green Kitchen Makeover including a makeover consultation from green living expert Danny Seo, a suite of Energy Star-rated LG appliances, and more, a prize worth $18,000. Ten first-prize winners will each receive a Nook Color Readers Tablet from Barnes & Noble, a Honeywell Conventional 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, a Bye Bye Standby Wireless Energy Saving Starter Kit, and a Voltaic OffGrid Solar Backpack, a prize worth $600. 100 third-prize winners will receive a $25 BuyGreen.com Gift Card, a Recyclebank Tote Bag, and 1,000 Recyclebank Points.
The photo contest winner will receive an Earthscape Structures Playground from Ziploc worth about $4,259.
Entry into RecycleBank's Green Your Home Challenge and Photo Contest is open to residents of the continental US above the age of 18. The contest ends on April 30, 2011.
