Cash, even though the house is lovely I love Colorado. I could never leave it and I love my home even though it’s not as fancy, the cash would help me make it what I want it to be :)

This green home is particularly appealing to me, but I don’t want to live in Georgia. The Northeast is my home, forever, I hope, so I’d opt for the cash option, which could really come in handy right now.

This year’s green home is particularly appealing to me. But I can’t leave my beloved Northeast for Georgia. So again, I opt for the cash option which would really help us out a lot more right now.

I would probably take the house! I’m getting tired of the area where I live and I’m about ready for a change. And the house is eco friendly, hard to turn down!

I would definitly take the cash option. It would make my life a lot easier.

April 17, 2012 at 12:42 am
(23) Terri says:

I would take the house and the other gifts. If you take the $400,000 cash and the other prizes, this is worth a little over $500,000 but if you take the house and prizes, it is worth $788,000. No way would I throw away $200,000. We would sell the house- and as the famous Green Home, it would be in demand- because I grew up in Georgia and hate it and live in California.

(24) Don plunk says:

I would definely consider taking the house depending upon the proximity of the house to a good sized city. Doing the right thing for the environment is very important to me!

(27) Sarah says:

My bf and I would have to debate that one. We both love Chicago and as we’re both young and renting now would probably live in the house till we can afford one in Chicagoland, then use the Georgia house as a vacation home. Though our vacation home would likely be far nicer than our “everyday” house!

Cash, for certain. I’m happy with my house and would not want to move away from the area where my family all are situated.

April 19, 2012 at 8:07 am
(32) John A says:

Cash please. The lot is most unattractive, the house sits directly on a large passing street, too many stairs for older folks, and the layout is rather cumbersome.

April 19, 2012 at 12:37 pm
(33) kayt says:

I would take the house – if the IRS didn’t make that impossible! What a gorgeous place! The furnishings soften the contemporary look, and the modern touches make the home so livable. Love, love, love the repurposed items!

April 19, 2012 at 5:46 pm
(34) Eric Spudic says:

I’d do the smart thing. Take the house. You could probably rent it out for around $2,500-3,000/month and be set for life.

I hope if I won this house that my Husband and I would be able to keep it. We have 3 little boys they love the kid room it has all of the colors that we use for the decor in our present home, and we have never had a brand new home if we could afford to keep it, it would be a dream come true for us bcause we can provide a clean safe efficent home for our children. It would be a great addition to our growing family.

I would probably take the house. I wonder if you could rent it out, or if the B&B in town would rent it for you, it looks like they have other houses they rent. I would LOVE to live in Atlanta. I am currentlly unemployed, possibly the job market would be better in Atlanta.

I would take the house. Pay off school loans with some of the money and finally have a bigger place to live instead of sharing a closet size apt with the bf.

(48) Holly says:

I’d take the house. My son is shipping out to GA for bootcamp and AIT, it would be nice to be in the same state as him. Plus, I currently live in Oregon, no jobs, no money, no help; it would be awesome to live in Serenbe and learn about self sufficiency! I love that it is a small community. I grew up in a small community, and now it’s over populated and still no jobs.

(50) Kiwanna says:

I would take the home b/c, I don’t have one. Everything that is offered in this sweepstakes, I lost. I don’t have a home, I lost my car, nor do I have any money coming in. It has been so hard. This would be the blessing to totally restore me and bring me back to my feet. So this would be nothing more than a miracle from God if I won this! I would give Him praise forever! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
