Non-Winning Finalists (7): A $1,000 U.S. Series EE savings bond.
All Finalists (10): $250 worth of K'nex Building Sets and a Photo Gallery page at www.knex.com with pictures and descriptions of their K'nex creations.
All Finalists and Semi-Finalists (30): K'nex gear, including a t-shirt and cap, a 25% discount on all K'nex parts purchased in 2012 on their behalf at K'NEXDirect, a special birthday surprise valued at $50, and an invitation to tour the K'NEX corporate headquarters, with parents or guardians, to meet the designers and learn how K'nex is made.

Entrants will also be divided into the following age categories:
- Entrants between the ages of 5-6
- Entrants between the ages of 7-8
- Entrants between the ages of 9-12
10 semi-finalists per age category will be selected on the basis of creativity (50%), uniqueness (25%) and detail (25%).
10 finalists, 3 in the 5-6 age category, 3 in the 7-8 age category, and 4 in the 9-12 age category, will be determined by public vote. The three grand-prize winners, one per age category, will be chosen by Joel Glickman, inventor of K'nex, from among the finalists.
