Sweepstakes Prizes:

Grand Prize: $100,000 cash to be used toward the project in your essay, plus a 3-day trip to a spa resort in Phoenix, AZ, where winner will participate in a one-hour life coaching session with Dr. Martha Beck and three follow-up phone sessions with Dr. Martha Beck. (ARV: $128,000)

Finalist Prizes (4): A $1,000 IKEA gift card. (ARV: $1,000)

Additional Comments:

To enter, write an essay describing what you would do to improve the lives of others (people, animals, the environment, etc.) over the next year if you won, including the project you would do and the effects it would have on the lives of others. You must also include a brief budget showing how the prize money would be used. See rules for additional details and restrictions.

If you win, you must actively participate in the project for 9 - 12 months. If you take a sabbatical from work to participate in the project, up to half of the grand prize can be used by you for living expenses.

Judges will select the top 50 entries on the basis of passion and desire to help improve the lives of others (35%), strength and feasibility of idea (35%), and Originality and creativity of idea (30%). 10 semi-finalists will then be chosen from among the 50 on the same basis.

Each of the 10 semi-finalists will have a 20-minute phone interview with the sponsor to choose 5 finalists on the basis of Passion and Enthusiasm (40%), Sincerity (30%), and Communication Skills (30%).
