Sweepstakes Prizes:

Grand Prize: A family reunion, awarded as a check for $20,000, and a personal planner for the family reunion awarded as a check for $1,000. (ARV: $21,000)

Finalist Prizes (5): A gift basket of Smucker's brand products. (ARV: $100)

Additional Comments:

To enter, submit your family's original recipe made with at least 1/4 cup of one of Smucker's jam, jelly, preserves, fruit spread, or fruit butter that must have been passed down for at least two generations, along with an essay of 200 words or less describing how the recipe is part of family traditions and how the recipe makes family celebrations special. See rules for additional guidelines.

Entries will be judged on the basis of relevance to theme, creative expression, and clarity to pick 15 - 20 recipes as finalists. The finalist recipes will then be prepared and judged on the basis of taste (1-50 points), creativity (1-15 points), ease of preparation (1-15 points), appearance (1-10 points), and nutritional balance (1-10 points). The top recipes' essays will also be judged on the basis of relevance to theme (1-10 points), creative expression (1-10 points), and clarity (1-10 points).

Note that at the time of this writing, the entire set of rules was not visible, so the judging criteria is taken from the 2010 contest.
