Sweepstakes Prizes:

Grand Prize: A $20,000 "The Great Food Truck Race" Scholarship that can be applied toward the full tuition costs associated with obtaining a certificate, diploma, associate's or bachelor's degree in culinary arts at any of The Art Institutes US locations. (ARV: $20,000)

Finalist Prizes (2): A trip to New York City to be interviewed to win the grand prize.

To enter, submit an essay of 2,000 characters or less (including spaces) that describes what cuisines you are passionate about and how a tuition scholarship from The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes to study Culinary Arts could help you expand your knowledge of global cuisines. See rules for additional details.

The first round of judging will narrow the field down to five semi-finalists on the basis of Ability to clearly communicate a specific culinary career goal/vision (45%), Originality of story (20%), and Degree of passion/conviction for pursuing a culinary arts education (35%). The semi-finalists will be judged again on the same basis to choose two finalists.

The two finalists will be flown to New York City to be interviewed by Susan Stockton, Senior Vice President, Culinary Production Food Network. After the interview, the finalists' entries will be judged again on the basis of Originality or story (25%), Personality of Finalist, as expressed in the Submission and Finalist Interview (25%), and Presentation of Finalist (50%) to select the winner.
