More Tips on Using Texter for Sweepstakes Entry

Some tips to keep in mind when using Texter to enter sweepstakes:
  • Make sure to review your entry before you submit the entry form. Sometimes Texter makes a mistake, or doesn't properly erase the hotstring you typed. Make sure there are no errors before submitting.
  • When you choose your hotstrings, keep in mind that you don't want to accidentally have text replaced while you're typing other things. Choose letter combinations that you don't frequently use.
  • If you would like to make your hotstrings even shorter, without worrying whether Texter will replace text when you don't want it to, use single letter hotstrings and the "Instant" option. Just turn Texter off when you're not entering sweepstakes.
  • If the little sound that Texter makes when it replaces text annoys you, you can turn it off by right-clicking on the Texter icon. Click on "Preferences" and then uncheck the box that says, "Play sound when replacement triggered?"
