Overview of the 2009 Blog Cabin in Asheville, NC

The 2009 Blog Cabin will be located at The Preserve at Little Pine. Located only half an hour away from civilization (the city of Asheville, NC), The Preserve is a gated community in the Blue Ridge Mountains surrounded by thousands of acres of old-growth forest.

The community includes an equestrian center for riding through the pristine trails, an observatory for watching the crystal-clear stars over the mountains, and a general store so that you won't need to leave the community for basic supplies.

The home site for the 2009 DIY Blog Cabin is a 1-acre lot with a stream running through it. The stream is crossed by a stone bridge.

The floor plan is a lodge-style cabin with a vaulted ceiling, which creates an open interior. There is a finished basement with its own bathroom, and a two-story screened-in porch at the rear of the house.
