Overview of the DIY Blog Cabin Sweepstakes:
Every year, the DIY Network builds a cabin home with input from its viewers, and gives it away to one lucky winner in the DIY Blog Cabin Sweepstakes. For more information, read What Is the DIY Blog Cabin Sweepstakes?
For the 2010 Blog Cabin Sweepstakes, DIY will actually be a renovation instead of building a cabin from the ground up. Instead of having just one team working on the Blog Cabin, some of the most popular talents from other DIY shows will work on the cabin, including Josh Temple of House Crashers, Marc Bartolomeo of Kitchen Impossible, and Jason Cameron from Desperate Landscapes.
Location of the 2010 DIY Blog Cabin:
The 2010 DIY Blog Cabin will be located in the town of Bethel, nestled in the Catskills Mountains of New York. The area is known for its beautiful mountain scenery, but it is only a two-hour drive from the heart of New York City. The Blog Cabin is surrounded by forest and rivers with nearby access to parks, golf courses, and lakes. It is across the street from a horse farm.
For more information, visit the 2010 DIY Blog Cabin Location webpage on the DIY website.
Special Features of the 2010 Blog Cabin:
The 2010 Blog Cabin renovated a ranch-style home that was originally built in the 1970s. Read more details on the DIY Website. Starting on February 15, 2010, the public voted for the special features of the Blog Cabin, and the options with the highest number of votes were built.
Dates of the DIY Blog Cabin Sweepstakes 2009:
The 2010 DIY Blog Cabin Sweepstakes starts on August 19, 2010. Visit DIY - Blog Cabin Sweepstakes 2010 for entry details.
