Sonoma was originally founded by Spanish missionaries in 1823. The name comes from an American Indian word that meant "Valley of the Moon" because of the way the moon seemed to nestle between the mountains on either side. The city still boasts a beautiful town plaza surrounded by historic buildings. It is also known for its amazing wines, especially Zinfindels. In 2005, the Sonoma area boasted more than 250 vineyards.

The 2009 Dream Home is a large two-story farmhouse-style home covering 3,600 square feet of comfortable living space. The first floor contains a family room, a study, the living and dining rooms, and a gourmet kitchen with its own eating nook. The second floor includes two bedroom mini-suites, the laundry area, and the master bedroom suite with a luxury spa-inspired bathroom and its own sitting room. There is also a detached two-car garage.
