Internet browsers use slightly different code, which means that a web page may work perfectly in one but fail to accept entries in another. If the programmers who built the sweepstakes site failed to check each browser, they might not have realized there was a problem.
Tip: Install a Second Browser on Your Computer
Because of this, I always have at least two internet browsers installed on my computer. If a sweep won't work in one, I try it in the second. Many times, this solves the problem.Where to Find a Second Browser
If you are using Windows as your operating system, you have the Internet Explorer browser already installed. If you are using a browser from your internet provider, like AOL, you can try entering problem sweepstakes in Internet Explorer.
My favorite internet browser to use while entering sweepstakes, however, is Firefox. Firefox is free to download, easy to use, and offers several features lacking in other internet browsers like the ability to add extensions that allow you to save time entering sweepstakes.
So if you are experiencing problems with sweepstakes that other people can enter, try using a second internet browser. If you'd like try Firefox, our Guide to Web Search has a step-by-step guide to installing Firefox that makes the process very easy.
