Submit your best recipe that uses bananas into Chiquita's Ultimate Banana Recipe Contest, and you could win a trip to a cooking class of your choice, a prize worth $3,000. Two first-prize winners will receive a $500 credit for tuition at a cooking school and a gift basket from Chiquita. And 27 third-prize winners will receive a $25 credit to Chiquita's online store. Sweepstakes Prizes:
Grand Prize: A cooking class getaway to winner's choice of either the Culinary Institute at Greystone, St. Helena, CA or the Institute of Culinary Education, New York, NY. The prize includes airfare, hotel, participation for two in two cooking demonstrations or recreational classes, and a $500 travel allowance. (ARV: $3,000)
1st Prizes (2 - 1 per category, not including the grand-prize winner): A $500 tuition credit to the cooking school or class of his/her choice and a Chiquita gift basket. (ARV: $575)
2nd Prizes (27 - 1 per finalist that doesn't receive a first or grand prize): A $25 Gift Card valid at the Chiquita on-line store. (ARV: $25)
Additional Comments:
To enter, submit a recipe that uses at least one Chiquita Banana in one of the following categories:
- Appetizers/Quick & Easy,
- Main Dish, or
- Kids' Recipes/Desserts
10 recipes per category for a total of 30 recipes will be chosen as finalists on the basis of Use of Chiquita bananas in recipe (25%), Photo quality and image appeal (25%), Creativity (25%), and Relevance (25%).
The finalist recipes will be put up for public vote to choose one recipe per category as first-prize winners.
Judges will pick one of the first-prize winners to be the grand-prize winner.
