Chicken Curry Burger with Crispy Prosciutto and Warm Apple Chutney Recipe

Teresa Ralston's Chicken Curry Burger with Crispy Prosciutto and Warm Apple Chutney recipe beat out nearly 700 other entries to become the grand prize winner of Columbia Crest Winery's "Flayvors of Washington" recipe contest.

The challenge was to create a recipe using ingredients typical to Washington State, and to pair it with one of Columbia Crest's wines.

According to the contest press release, Bobby Flay said, "I was impressed with the Chicken Curry Burger because it highlighted a number of Washington state ingredients in an original way and paired well with the suggested Columbia Crest Grand Estates Chardonnay." In other words, the recipe was not only delicious, but it also fulfilled the goal of the contest -- highlighting Washington State produce and Columbia Crest wine. Helping the contest sponsors meet their goals is an excellent way of increasing your chances of winning.

As her prize, Teresa Ralston received an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City and the chance to cook with Food Network's Bobby Flay.
