2012 HGTV Dream Home
My Review
I was NOT impressed with the 2012 HGTV dream home. every year it seems that the dream homes are becoming...well....not as dreamy. What I do not like about the 2012 home is that it's so small! Three bedrooms and four bathrooms, yes this is a good for a small family. The tight and sharp corners makes the home look small and cramped it makes the home look not very appealing. A mud room and a changing room were added to the house which I thought were not needed and served really no purpose. Instead I would've liked to see a indoor bowling ally or a skating rink or home movie theater. I do like the fact that a hot tub was added and a outdoor living area. the front lawn looks huge! I'm sure you guys added lawn service! This next downer on this home is the location (it's all about location). I'm sure most everyone was quite surprised and disappointed when Utah was picked to be the new home for the dream home. Most people hate snow and burning heart and Utah is the best of both worlds! It's freezing in the winter and snows like crazy (I could never live there because of my Asthma.) I feel that the team of the HGTV dream home didn't put all of their effort into making the dream home. I give the 2012 dream home a rate of 4 on the scale of 1-10.
2012 Dream Home vs. Past Years' Prizes
The 2012 dream home was very poor, and seems every year the dream homes are becoming less appealing.
What Do You Think of the Setting?
The location of the dream home I thought was very bad, because of its snowy and cold winter and scorching summer. The location is especially bad for someone who has Asthma.
What Do You Think of the Design?
The tight and sharp corners make the home look very small. I saw guest bedrooms but where are the bedrooms for kids and teenagers? You can't be saying the guest bedrooms were for the kids? They hardly had any space.
What Do You Think of the Extra Prizes?
I'm impressed with the prizes.
