Allure to Give Away Free Stuff Every Day in August

By July 27, 2007

Follow me on:

Every day throughout the month of August, Allure Magazine will be giving away amazing fashion prizes like a hair styling from a top designer, posh facial creams, jewelry, top shelf makeup, designer shampoos, and much more. The values range from under a dollar to well over $500, and over 20,000 items will be given away. Some of these giveaways are sweepstakes where the winner will be drawn at random, while others are freebie offers where the first specified number of entrants after the given time will receive the offer. Sign up now for daily reminders to enter, or take a sneak peak at the giveaway calendar to see what you could win!

I thought my fiancee might enjoy some of these items. I’m having trouble finding any kind of legal information about the sweepstakes and giveaways though. And I can’t tell if you can register for each freebie or if you are only allowed 1 valid entry for the entire month. Anyone have any more detail on this?

Hi, Jared,
You can enter each of the offers once. A lot of the offers are technically freebies (they’re giving away one to the first x number of people who sign up after a certain time), which might explain why the rules are hard to find. Good luck!

Jared,
You are right. The Allure giveaway is very confusing. I poured over the magazine and website for more detailed information and I didn’t get anywhere.

Does anyone know about Allure’s notification process? Are winners being e-mailed instantly, or is there a daily list somewhere?

My guess is that the winners will one day get a package in the mail without warning.

If anyone knows when/how winners are notified, please post.

Thanks,
Mary

Mary-

Thanks for looking around on the site and magazine, too bad you didn’t find anything. I’ve registered right on the hour for just about every sweepstakes or freebie. During the first two freebies yesterday I kept receiving errors due to there being too much traffic on their website. It was very frustrating because I didn’t know if my registration went through or not. The last few I’ve actually received a “Thank You” message, but still no idea whether or not I’m a winner. I agree with you Mary, I think any winners will just receive the freebies in the mail unless some other information is needed and hopefully make some contact with the sweepstakes winners.

I emailed allure and was told that the winners would be notified by the end of september (via email or phone) and the winner would have 5 days to reply or their prize would be null and void!

good luck!

But how does one actually enter? I am registered, do I just log in at the top of every hour?

Thanks!

ooops. I’m very observant, as you can tell. They’re doing something similar then and its equally confusing!

I have won several items over the past year on the Allure free stuff giveaways. With the exception of one prize, all of the others were simply mailed to my house with no advance notice. The exception was when I was notified by UPS of the arrival of one prize. Sometimes the prizes arrive quite a few months after the entry date, so if you don’t receive any prizes by the end of September, don’t despair!

I’ve won many free stuff from Allure in the past few years. They don’t send out notifications, winner will just receive the freebies in the mail. It’s a surprise!

Mbarnes, you don’t need a Smartphone, just a computer and an internet connection. This article may help: Entering Online Sweepstakes.

Rae – I’m not sure who you got your info from! I have been doing Allure giveaways for years now, and you are NEVER notified if you’ve won. You always just randomly get a prize in the mail months later. Just the other day (in August) I got a prize that I had entered in May. And to answer someone else’s question, it’s 12 noon EASTERN time, so I’m not sure what time that would be to people on the west coast, but go by eastern time. And you CAN register once for all the prizes, you don’t need to re-register every time. But make sure you enter EVERY hour that they are available!
