(4) India says:

I hav entered everyday to the pch.. I received confirmation emails that somone with initials IF will definitly win in the mississippi area. I even got the email confirmation to ensure my address was correct.. I replied to confirm it. All the search and wins, spin and wins, and the emails of entering to win bc this is ur last chance. I was entering straight from the web site as well. I was really excited about it knoing someone with my initials would win. And the best part was they would b in mississippi. Now, its crushing knoing tht the same emails were sent out to everyone in different states with their initials to win for their area. Im kinda disappointed. Make me wonder if the winning number was actually sent out. Who would not respond to a winning #?

(5) erica says:

It was very misleading its frustrating entering and keeping up with searches over and over because pch says theyre coming to your area when in fact they are not.

(6) Dee says:

I as well received so many emails from PCH everyday someone with my initials in my area blah blah blah confirming my area tv stations, hotel and florist. PCH your marketing is genius, but I atleast ordered something six time, NO MORE I have bit the bait and now I know your a bait and switch company and that SUCKS> I am happy to say,” I NO LONGER WILL WASTE MY TIME AND MONEY WITH PUBLISHERS CLEARING HOUSE. IFEEL GOOD, people all the time you waste playing their idiotic games, hang out with your family and friends, you will be a winner in the end. BYE TO PCH FOREVER!!! :)

(7) Bonnie says:

I watched my elderly mother submit entry forms to PCH and bought and bought items hoping to have a better chance of winning. I cannot tell you how I dislike PCH and their tactics. I see their mail offerings come into my home and I pitch them into the garbage. That’s all it is. The other poster is correct. Spend time with your family and not waste one second or dollar on their junk.

(8) Jason H says:

See my initials. My area is CA. I nor anyone with my initials won
So lie! Good for the one chosen.
But,
How many times do you have to enter the same drawing.
If It were a daily enter countdown, that is one thing, but enter to win over and over. Come on.
All who did this time waster should have received the winners name.
And, a clip of the news to watch.
Easier if we ALL block further emails.

(9) BJ says:

I have been entering since a few months after getting back from Vietnam. April 1976 to be exact. About 4 years ago I actually won 20 bucks on the scratch cards. Big whoop! It took several email and a phone call to even get that piddly amount.

Apparently I’ve been getting looked over by “PCH” which makes no sense at all.for as long as I’ve been ordering & playing. When they say that an authentic winner is only selected & picked by using a Systhematically,Numerically,Logistically,Calculated by using a Computerized Method as they wrote this out to send & tell me. Most likely the systhem is malfunctioning. So,all of these years since 1981 my name has been generated more than any other yet they’re trying to refute saying I been with them only since 1995 is a joke. ” WHERE’s the LEGISTICS ” in TRUTH !!! – PCH as you alway’s tell me: PCH – Take a second look, for a ” WIN ” would be appreciated

I’m just going to keep entering… every day!! Someone’s gotta win it right?! :)

I think everyone in every state or town gets one. The real chances of winning are slim to none (like the lottery). I got a email back in May for a spin and win (did not sign up for) that said sorry when I went to the URL that the date had expired. I got another one the other day that in fine print stated if your number is not received by the date they pick you forfeit your winnings. I am on the computer due to online classes but I have a child and a life and I am not going to dpend my life on the computer.

(34) knotworthit says:

For those of you with elderly parents who are being taken advantage of by PCH. Go to the post office and fill out a form to have their mail forwarded to your house and you can dispose of all PCH mail or mark on the outside of the envelope(s) “No such addressee” or “Return to Sender” and put it back in the mailbox so it goes back to PCH. If they are using the internet when an e-mail comes it mark it as “SPAM” and then empty the “SPAM” folder. When I receive PCH mail in my mail box I will at times check for a postage paid envelope. If there is one, I fill it with other junk mail from other companies that do not have my personal identifiers on it. Love to see their faces at PCH when they open it. They get tire discounts, window replacement offers, department store offers. LOL!!!!

I have been entering the phc everyday. I am being patient about this. I have a baby now and I’m a stay at home mom. All I can think about is the team coming to my door to change my life, to make my familys life better. I have read all of the posts that people have wrote. I just really hope that my dream comes true. Money isn’t everything but to have my own home and not have to rent would be a dream come true, and to just do what really makes me happy. So I am just waiting for them to be at my house because I will be here.

(37) Sandra Grauschopf, Guide to Contests says:

Mary, entering to win PCH is fun, and gives you something to dream about. But I’d also recommend entering some sweepstakes that are easier to win, too. I’d recommend the sweepstakes on the Cash Sweepstakes list and the Baby Sweepstakes list. Good luck!

(38) zara says:

They are liars! I bet even the winners are paid actors or their own people from the underworld.

I thought I was the only one to win since they said with my initials and in my zip code area. Not one winner from Plano, Texas that I’ve heard of. Hope we can bring this fraud company down with legal actions.

But they are smart. They can lie but know how to cover up by selling advertisements etc.

I love entering its a hobby for me. Plus it gives me something to be excited for. But even tho i never win i still play. Like i said as a hobby. I don’t buy anything but you don’t have to. I get those emails and get discouraged but its fun.

August 21, 2012 at 4:10 pm
(40) Me myself and I says:

You guys really don’t read the emails that they send you do you? In the email it says that you COULD be the winner it does not state that there is definately going to be someone with your initials and you zip code winning. Learn to read the text.

(41) Paul Duncan says:

Like hundreds of thousands of people, I participated in PCH contests. I started in 2005. During the last year or two, I purchased products and magazines with the hope that it might increase my potential to win. They plainly tell you that these purchases will not increase you chances to win. I was encouraged with my initials and the myriad of prizes and enticements, but today is the last day to enter for the “Forever” prize and to date I have not won a single dollar. HERE IS THE TRUTH!! I purchased products which I needed. The cost was fair, but the cost of shipping made the purchases seem above (clearance) retain. During the last month, I had a PCH representative call and ask me to answer a survey. Secondly, if you are disappointed, angry or feel deceived, remember, what P.T. Barnum said: “There is a succor born every minute. Regarding prizes and money, remember, “the buck stops WITH YOU. PCH offers a service and some excitement. They never promise to bring up another child.

(44) E elyn Collins says:

It would be a blessing in disguise to be so fortunate to win $5000 a week and be able to pay my bills and have money left over and to be able to help my family and friends. There are things in life we all want and to give to the less fortunate but I would be happy to be able to take care of my bills and help family and friends and the needy.
Thank you so much for the opportunity.

(46) BC says:

Nothing replaces working for a living, if you really need help go to your local churches or goverment offices, there is no such thing as get rich quick (but you can lose it quick or slowly by buying their magizines) enter but don’t buy, Hard times are everywhere but that shouldn’t make us act stubid, just work more hours or get two jobs, pick up cans, what ever it takes but think smart Why pray to God to win, he already knows your needs and is providing, maybe your not seeing whats right in front of you because your looking for the easy way. If you can work, get your certifited nurses asistant license, you’ll never be without a job again and plenty of hour with no layoffs! How bad do you need money?

They are full of BS is all. And they constantly HOUND you to purchase crap from them after entering. I entered EVERY DAY as well and recieved the same BS story about someone in my area would be winning. I know I won’t enter their stupid clearing house sweepstakes again or biuy anything from them. And you know something, I wonder if the person that won isn’t someone thet set up to play a role in their game of give away sweepstakes just to get your email address to send you their garbage to buy. *shrugs* Who knows, but I know I won’t be playing it, nor do I care to watch who actually or supposedy won. I don’t care! I didn’t win it so thats all I need to know.

this all sounds too true man. i swear, ive been on PCH “search and win” right and i remember them saying that they were giving prizes every fifteen minutes, i was on that site for four hours, i looked to the side of the screne and there it said someone won 1000 dollars 3 ,minutes ago….
where was i? i was there, where is my money? and i too recived the “getting your hopes up emils”, im telling you im already annoyed, especially when the “instant win games” ive been playing everyday for three months in a roll.

havent won a dime

(52) G. Rogers says:

When you say the “winning number wasn’t returned”, it sounds like a lottery. As PCH is not a lottery, what does this mean?

September 2, 2012 at 4:59 pm
(53) loafingrose says:

All the dreaming of winning is fun but all the people who are waiting for pch to change their life it is time to do that yourself. God helps those that help themselves. Times are hard I am unemployed caring for my terminally ill husband and have two sons in high school and a daughter in college. I clean houses, bit groceries for people, work nursery for churches ect to make money to keep is afloat. Would it be fun to win yes but I am more likely to get struck by lightening while helping the chicken cross the road to go the the bar where a priest , a rabbi and a bishop are talking about politics.

September 3, 2012 at 12:20 am
(54) Maureen Little says:

I can’t believe a winner was picked in May!!! I definitely plan on investigating this because this winner was supposed to be picked the end of August and if you have your rules and regulations then you should have to pay for this injustice. Just like all these other comments, and countless entries for months, not to mention purchases and like I’ve read”someone with your initials in your area Will be the Winner”—-Are you serious??? Like I said I will investigate and have you shut down because your taking total advantage of people and I am very angry so now I will spend as much time investigating as I did making my entries. Purely Disgusted.

September 3, 2012 at 2:27 am
(55) Sandra Grauschopf, Guide to Contests says:

Maureen Little, one of the first things your investigations will probably reveal is that a winner was awarded in May and in August.

(57) wendy says:

why is everyone all bent about pch? at the bottom of every entry it clearly says “NO PURCHASE OR FEE NECESSARY TO ENTER.
A PURCHASE WON’T IMPROVE AN INDIVIDUAL’S CHANCE OF WINNING”

you don’t have to buy anything and the chances of winning are like the lottery so if you don’t like it don’t play it and block the emails? for me I will get online once a day and check my email and take the 5 minutes to enter their contest. What do you have to loose?

(58) Sarah Trial says:

I have been playing PCH since 2008, and it’s kicking my rear, but I don’t give up, because I have a dream, they can’t all be scammers out there.

September 6, 2012 at 11:48 pm
(59) Bobbie Raver says:

I don’t believe PCH gives away all that money. It’s a scam. They trick people into buying more of their products. It seems everybody i know gets the same mail saying someone in their area is going to win, but it’s always someone from up North, never anyone from the South.

September 9, 2012 at 5:02 pm
(60) BLAH says:

So the winning number was never returned! Which means that they do not award it! $1M is no small amount, however, when you say you are going to award something and you do not, I would call that illegal, it should simply roll over to the next number. In addition, I got an email today from PCH advertising this exact award and it is already over!

They live off the hopes of people for whom it would be a real boon to win. If everyone round filed their communications, they would be out of business. That would seem to me to be a rather good idea. I do not know how many times over the years I have received a “prize” in which I am asked to pay several hundered dollars to get something that is likely worth no more than I am being asked to pay. That is the prize for plowing through all their paperwork and sending in countless envelopes at however much money in postage.

Your odds are at best one in 2 BILLION. Donate the postage to a worthy charity and let PCH go out of business.

September 14, 2012 at 7:54 pm
(61) Catherine Nelson says:

14 years i have been entering your so called super prizes, You insult me with your products which i buy to keep me in the loop that I may win. You have the nerve to send me umpteen letters advising me that somenone in my neighbourhood will win with my number if I don,t retiurn your form of salesmanship and my neighbour will win my prize.
I also take issue with your so called costs of products, I can generally buy the same here in B.C for much less and with no Handling or postage fees, As I said before Never a Canadian seems to win so all the money and all the goods I bought from you have been worthless and I know now I was never intended to win . You have received my last penny and quit sending me any more of your offers of Catherine Nelson White Rock B.C. Canada

(62) Richard says:

There are two people with the initials RO in my area. I’ve received numerous emails saying that someone with those initials will win in my area.
I called them and said that if I keep entering, someone with those initials will eventually win. Haha, one in a billion chance!
Greed is sly, the desperate become fools to this money monster.

September 22, 2012 at 2:29 pm
(63) Sarah says:

They had no intention of paying $5000 dollars a week to someone for life. Whoever won, wouldn’t have “turned in” the winning number, whatever that means. What a joke.

(67) Marie says:

You should really read the fine print. They cannot give EVERYONE a prize. Seriously!? One peron out of billions wins. Just because you want it does not mean it will happen. Enter and see. Might get lucky. Stop whining about it. AND FOR HEAVEN’S SAKES STOP RELYING ON IT!!!! you don’t have to buy anything, you can enter for free online without paying postage. It has worse chances of winning than the lottery. AND YES they have awarded the 5,000 a week for life, TWICE that I have seen. Also, when you are whining that OMG the contest ended and you did not know and you have still been recieving emails and replying to them WAAAA uhm that is because another contest has already begun. Hence the confusion with the amount awarded in MAY and the amount awarded in AUGUST and I am sure there will be plenty whining because there is a new amount to be awarded in NOVEMBER. They are different contests. Geez.

(70) Turds says:

As posted on the company’s website on October 21, 2012, the odds of winning the largest prize (Giveaway #1830) were 1 in 1,215,500,000.[17] This is an decrease of 30 percent from the September 2011 odds for Giveaway #1400 (which ended November 2011).

In 2008, “The estimated odds for the $10 million drawing were 505,000,000 to one. That’s equivalent to sending over 1.3 million entries every day for a year (and the sweep doesn’t even run for a full year).”[18]

In 2007, for the $10 million drawing, the PCH website said “your odds of winning are 1 in 330 million.”[19]

November 3, 2012 at 10:37 am
(71) Bip says:

The current odds are listed around one in 1 billion 215 million for the super prize. It says the second chance prize is a million dollars. In other words, no one is winning the super prize. Its just a way to get people to click ads with partners, and buy things from catalogs. Someone will win the second chance prize sure, but no one is winning the super prize.

I too no longer gonna look through the junk mail. PCH always says one date and always ends up being another. Oh well I’m not buying into it no more. Good buy PCH

You’ll realize after-awhile pch sweepstakes entery’s are like any other lotto…your real chances of winning are slim-to-none,but if you don’t play no chance…Only difference between they’re lotto and most other lotto’s is they’re always trying to get you to buy their products to put money in they’re pocket…And being flooded with awful junk on your e-mail add. ..not to mention all the virus threats…Sometimes I wonder why I play at all, maybe I’m just waisting my time…But like everyone one-else I hope for a better life…Especially since it sooo rough right now…That’s ok though…Good luck everyone, just know all your e-mails from ”PCH” aren’t anything special…that’s the ”game” to draw you in,to buy,and they up front tell you it won’t increase your chances on winning…GOOD LUCK

Remember to use PCHSearch&Win to find information and websites you need! Don’t just search to win. Be wise, certain behaviors could cause your account privileges to be revoked!”

Well, since I don’t have cable, I use my phone or iPad for my only source of entertainment. Half the time, my searches don’t even get entered and I can’t play more than 1 lotto game a day nor can I a cess the play to win games on my darned iPad.

Having said that…. I get the above NASTY message from you? Never won anything probably never will, still use your HORRIBLE OWL that CRASHES every other try.

(90) Gale says:

Some states it ended in May. Others April, yet others got notices it was ending in Sept.
Mine notice said the drawing would be the end of Nov.

Sorry all but I think it depends on the email you get and there really isn’t a winner.
They do stage winners and televise it but there is never a real live person winning.

Everyone here should also realize that winning their states lottery, the chances are much better then entering any PCH drawing if you ever bothered to look at the odds.
Even the odds of the Mega Millions states lottery if better.

You really should read those odds.
It saddens me that so many actually expected something.

Read the odds.

December 8, 2012 at 8:12 am
(91) Gale says:

I forgot to add, if you ever looked up the past so called winners in your “small or mid size town” they never existed.
Not the last 20 years, not the last 10, not the last year.

Small to mid size towns are easier to check on names.

I do believe the state lotteries are legit but I’m positive due to those non existent names PCH winners don’t.

They do make a fortune on magazine sales and wishful thinking.

December 8, 2012 at 12:05 pm
(92) Sandra Grauschopf, Guide to Contests says:

Gale, read the rules. There are drawings in February, May, August, and November. Each time, a winner is chosen, and a new sweepstakes starts immediately. For more information: Why Don’t Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes Ever End?.

If you read the fine print( Official rules) received in the mail it says that 1 million $ prize contest end date is in 2/28/2015. that is 3 years from now, even though the promotion mail says 48 hour prize alert and the deadline entry is 1/4/13.
But then there is a smaller fine print that states that the prize may be selected earlier….
Anyways I do it for FUN!
But I got to say that I did received last month a check from PCH for $100 that I won from one of the giveaways. Cashed and spend already.
SO I did too beleived that nobody ever won anything and that the winners in the list were fake.
Anyways I do it bcause my chances are better than someone that does not do it.
AND remember id does say no purchase necessary and purchasing does not increases odds of winning.

I can’t believe how many people get their panties in a knot over a contest that doesn’t cost anything or require any purchase to be made (and even tells you purchasing something does NOT increase your chances of winning).

If it bothers you that much, don’t enter, simply mark the email as spam so you don’t even have to read future ones, and delete it.

For years I enter the PCH contest, bought lots of items, some nice, some junk, but I kept on playing into their hands. One year I noticed that the winner was the same name as the year before, Ok, just a misprint. (dumb) then I got a letter TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE DRAWING that there had been no winner. I tore it up, should have kept it for proof. I never entered again. This time my husband entered. Same thing different day. Now in order to get off their list I have to unsubscribe at least twice a day. The last one said I would be removed and then added that I wouldn’t be removed unless I unsuscribe from each one. I call this harassment. anyone know how to make them go away???

I was told by PCH that I and three other people had the same winning number and that all that had to happen to win big was that I and one other person confirm, the only way I could lose was if all three of us confirmed. Well I don’t know what the hell the deal is but I haven’t heard anything more about it from them !! Im annoyed

I am like everyone else – so many entries and not a winner. I had no idea that you had to keep playing month after month with the hope of winning “something”. I am disheartened with the hours that have to be put in and the constant enticing notices that come through that make you think you are going to be a winner. I, like a lot of people, desperately need money and thought this just might happen with PCH.

I have been entering PCH sweeps since 1970(that’s 43 years for the math challenged).and have never won a PENNY! I used to order magazines, but I am about to unsubscribe. They tell me about the prize patrol, put my initials on it,and discuss the florist nearby, but they NEVER say who won with my initials.Year after year it’s the same fraud. Here in Texas,we need a class action suit. That way, even though the lawyers get most of the cash,at least I would get 3 to 5 dollars for the hundreds of hours of my WASTED time. This is the biggest scam in US history, without question.

(141) Brenna Belen says:

There is no question that PCH is a legitimate company and they do award prizes. Problem being is their marketing strategies border on an obfuscated deception that most people think they are inches away from winning. They conform legally by advising you about your odds of winning, the fact that you don’t have to purchase to win and so forth.

After finding out tonight my son who’s in the navy asked the gal he has been with for a long time to marry him. I’m so happy for them yet i know i have a lot of work ahead of me and i’ll enjoy it all. PCH would come in handy now, i made all the gowns when i got married, the flowers, the ring pillow, and did the cooking to so it’s easy for me. And having 7 sewing machines comes in handy to.

(145) Shelli says:

You have to play to win. The more times you enter the more times your name is “put in the pot” along with millions of other names. The chances of YOU winning or ME winning is so small, we’ve spent months upon month’s worth of OUR time entering and there’s no guarantee that you will win if you play. The prizes they give on the instant wins, the cards, worthless to me, I don’t go to those places. Cash. That’s the only interest I have in winning. Sure, let me win a car and I’ll sell it to pay off some medical bills. WE ALL want to win, half of us have a sad sob story. Spend more time in prayer and hope HE will provide, even then that sometimes feel like the lotto doesn’t it? Here I am on Easter, watching the BIBLE story, and feeling like a fool for hoping I have a chance at winning 5k a week for life. HAHAHAHA! We’re such fools. Yes, you DO have to play to win.. but really, we’re just getting played. NEVER buy to win a prize, never. PCH isn’t on the up and up, what place can be when they FLOOD your email box DAILY with ENTER TO WIN. Good grief give me a break. Annoying PCH> OH I DO keep entering, about once a week. If I win, I win and MONEY will make me happy because BILLS are the only thing I have to cry about! I’ve got love and joy. I’ve got a roof. I’ve got peeps who love me. So, cash is where it’s at. Now carry on. Enter, move on. Don’t waste your day playing with PCH.

Yes I knew that PCH was a tricky lawful good Samaritan clean good people, like every body else I had my story my hopes and blind dreams that won’t let me see what all this was doing to me, I have a sister that born with her leg shorter than the other one, her hip was on top of her waist, when she was 7 she had her first surgery but it was ready to late her bones were deform mother was devastaered so she had about 3 more so they had to use tools from the hardware store like coils screws sprins etc.and glue the leg so she couldn’t move the leg sounds more like frankenstain story but god is my Withness is the truth. My parents my sisters and I we never ask for any kind of publik asistance and untill now we don’t owe a penny to no one thats the reason I enter to the sweepstake I am getting older I am tired sick I have Mutisclorosis and other things whish mine don’t count I am worry about my sister. Iam angry with in my self for being so en-eva.so imbesil.thank you people for open my eyes and my heart I am grateful to you
once I’ll get my merchandice I’ll send the payment.I have humilliated thinking that I have won the PCH Mega Prize I almost got late to my son’s waitting couse waitting on Prize Patrol to show up of course they never show up. My neck got stiff of waitting, a man show up with roses he said it was from PCH. and of course he wasen’t alone but my dog its better than those 2. about time my son came they were all ready gone ha.
I being harress by phone they took money from my credit card I dont need this I haven’t won anything my children make fun of me my husband think I am crasy they send me to the head Dr. to game some happy pills

I too have responded to EVERY email by searching… I am so upset with myself for letting them sucker me into the thought of getting rich or even winning the $100.00 daily give away. This is a hoax and I am going to un-subscribe from PCH. Its a shame that i let myself get pulled into the falicy of winning. Shame on me ! However, its more sad, that a company like PCH would prey on us especially in these tough economic times. Congrats PCH… You got one ove on me.

I have entered,by mail and online, for about 40 years now and have never seen a cent. They said my initials would win and talked about the florist, etc They said”Someone in your area will win a major prize($1000
or more),yet I have NEVER heard anything. They didn’t even give the $5,000/yr for life prize away, saying “nobody returned the winning number”.These people are openly practicing fraud and should be shut down.

Hmm… I hope I win. I need the money to start college. I’m 18 and my overall goal is to be a heart and brain surgeon. I have withheld a 4.0 GPA all through school. I feel I deserve it. Oh and pch is legitimate. Even though they do have to try to sell their sponser’s offers, which is why you get those bs emails about your state and initials going to win. It’s business, so deal with it. And if you still wish to stop submitting entries be my guest. That gives everyone who hasn’t given up a 1 person increase at winning. :)
