August started out well for me, with an instant win on the third day of the month -- woohoo! But after that... crickets. A Bic pen was all I won in the rest of the month. I'm really hoping that some win notifications or surprizes will show up in the early part of September.

Been entering contests daily for 1.5 to 2 yrs, Entering anywhere from a few to 25 to 30 every day. Haven’t even won a candy bar , but keep trying,trying. Sometimes I feel like my luck is so bad that I could be one of 2 people to enter a contest, enter it 19 times and the other person enters only once and I still lose with the odds 95% in my favor..
I won a pair of earbuds and a $50 gift card.

I won a package of socks from Hanes and a Purdy paintbrush in the month of August. I enter about 75 contests a day and keep hoping to win gift cards. No luck there. Hopefully September be a better month for me.

I also haven’t won anything, but a coupon good for a bag of chips. I’ve been good at entering daily and good at searching on my own for radio and local sweeps. I found a few good ones I haven’t found on sweep sites.
Of course, odds and luck are factors. Do any winners out there feel that your technique is better or have any tips? I only have 1 facebook acct. for entry. I only enter sweeps with 1 acct. I don’t even use the refer friends option.
Is there a trick? Should I create multiple accounts and keep inviting myself or what? Or should I just sit tight and wait?
On ABC news there is a video of sweepers. They seem to casually visit one woman and lo and behold she gets a winning envelope in the mail and claims she has never bought a washing machine. Always wins them. There are a few contests for this but it’s one entry per day per household. So, I wonder does she have a trick? I wonder……is anyone willing to reveal?
I recently read that it takes patience and a ‘few months’ to win a sweepstakes. Well, I’ve been entering sweepstakes online for a couple years now, not to mention about 6 years for pch.com and have never won a single prize! I try to enter as faithfully as I can, but unless you absolutely have no life, there’s not enough time in the day to enter every single sweepstakes you come across! Even if you only target certain entries (like cash only sweeps), there’s still quite a few of them to choose from and enter. So what am I doing wrong? This can be very frustrating and discouraging! Help!

My one and only win was a doozie…I won the Pepsi Rock Your Summer sweeptstakes. Turned out I won one of 320 grand prize packages containing a 250.00 Apple store card, a 50.00 LL bean gift card, a 15.00 I-Tunes card, 5 coupons for any Pepsi 2-Liter product (5 @ 1.88) and 5 coupons for any Lays chip product (5 @ 4.49). It also included a large insulated grocery bag with the Rock Your Summer logo on it.
At the end of June, I won, and then almost lost, an XBox w/ Kinect. It was an instant win from Wrigley’s gamemysummer.com sweepstakes (still ongoing). I was so happy that I won it (probably my biggest prize ever), that I did a little dance around the house and then got distracted with other things. When I came back to the computer an hour or two later, I realized that I had to click a link to claim my prize. But when I clicked on it, it just took me back to the home page. I’m guessing it had timed out.
Anyway, I emailed the company, got a short “we’ll look into it” sort of reply, and didn’t hear anything more for weeks. I almost gave up hope (thinking they dismissed my claim with a “yeah, sure you did buddy”… I wouldn’t blame them). But then this week, someone called my house and confirmed the win and asked for my mailing address. So, I’m pretty sure I got it (though I’ll still feel better when it arrives).
I tell this story as a sort of warning. Make sure you pay attention to any steps you may have to do after an instant win. My advice probably seems obvious, and I was just a fool. (I’m used to a lot of other sweepstakes, where they ask you for your address *before* you play the game, or at least *email* you with instructions on how to claim your prize. I think requiring you to claim your prize with a hyperlink seems dangerous. What if you lose power or your internet connection? What if the browser gives you some error and refreshing doesn’t help?)
Oh, I also won a $50 duffel bag from TripInsurance.com, one movie ticket (which is fine… there’s a movie coming out in October which my wife has no interest in seeing with me), and a Twizzler beach towel. I can’t remember having this much luck in such a short time (though this is probably over two months, not just August).

I won a trip to Disneyland a few months ago, but it was August before we got our busy grandkids scedules open enough to go. Naturally, being Disney, it was first class all the way! We really enjoyed the VIP tour which gave us an escort to get us better-than-Fastpas entry’s into every ride or show. What a way to see Disneyland!!

I was so disappointed that I had only won a Bic pen by the middle of August, one of my slowest months ever. Then, I got an email from Super 8 that I was one of the weekly winners of their Gr8 Escape Sweepstakes! I won a $100 gas card, $200 spending money, a travel book and two nights at any Super 8. Plus, am entered into a drawing with 24 others winners for a Ford Escape! I may not be that lucky…but am really excited for the prize I did win! I’ve been entering sweeps for 1 year now, and enter 150-200 per day. That may sound like a lot, but I have evolved my sweepstakes process to a science!
First autofill…now Roboform. First just clicking through sweepstakes links…now an extremely organized folder system of bookmarks that I open all at once! It takes me about 2 hours, which I split up as early morning with my coffee, and late evening after the kids are in bed. Yes, I do have a life away from the computer! 
According to my handy sweepstakes wins spreadsheet, I have won a total value of about $2400, with a lot of little wins.
August was my best month yet though!

Summer has kept me busy and not entering as often as I like, but I still had some wins. I won a free night at any Hilton Property, a $50 dog bed, a $50 Live Nation Card from Pop Tarts and a Beach Towel from Twizzlers…all good!
Great win last month! After 3 years of sweeping, I finally hit a great travel prize. Here is what I won as Grand Prize winner for Hilton Hotels “Party with Pride” Sweepstakes: 1 million HHonors points (much like reward points we get with credit cards), 7 day/6 night trip to San Francisco including air, Hilton Hotel stay, and mid-size rental car. i understand way a lot of people get frustrated in not winning. i enter a lot of sweepstakes,i am on disability so not a lot i can do, but i do like entering. but i just look at it as the saying go’s you can’nt win if you do’nt enter, and maybe just maybe someday!! thanks

I had a question, has anyone had problems with getting prizes?
In June I won 2 movie tickets from Xfinity/Snow White and the Huntsman and got the instant win screen (which by the way was a mirror saying “You are the fairest of them all”) but no link to claim prize. When I contacted Real Media, they said I hadn’t won. Weren’t nice either.
Then this month I won $50 Live Nation credit from Poptart. Saw the email within an hour of it being sent but when I clicked it said redemption period is now over. Still waiting to hear from Kelloggs.
The good news though, is I won some other great things in August.
