How Many Sweepstakes Do You Need to Enter to Win?

Are You Entering Enough Sweepstakes Every Day?

The more sweepstakes you enter, the better your chances of winning are. But is there a certain number of sweepstakes you should enter every day to win? How many should you target if you want to hit those big prizes?

The answer depends on your own schedule and how you feel when you enter. If you enter just one giveaway a day, you've increased your chances of winning from "no hope" to at least a possibility. And each entry you make after that — as long as you follow the entry frequency rules — will boost your odds even more.

But more isn't always better. If you're stressed about getting your entries in every day, or if you're ignoring your friends and family members to sit at your computer and fill out entry forms all day, you are impacting your quality of life.

No giveaway is worth that.

And you might even be lowering your chances long-term. If you try to force yourself to enter too many sweepstakes, you run the risk of burnout and frustration. You could stop enjoying your hobby, and give it up. And if you don't enter, you won't win.

There's no magic number of sweepstakes to enter that will guarantee you'll win. The right number of sweepstakes is the number that you can enter regularly while still enjoying yourself.

Within that time frame, try to enter sweepstakes more quickly so that the time you do have available to you is used effectively.

The More Sweepstakes You Enter, the Less You Depend on Luck

To win prizes, you need to have luck on your side for your name to be drawn as the winner.

If you're lucky enough, you can win even if the odds are sky-high. You can enter a giveaway one time and win big right off the bat, as one Urban Oasis winner did. He won a multi-million dollar prize from among millions of entries after entering just one time.

But winning doesn't usually work that way. One of my favorite sweepstakes quotations comes from Thomas Jefferson, who said: "I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it."

Luck is fickle, but luckily you can reduce how much you depend on it.

If you want to win regularly without putting all your faith in luck, you'll also need skill to know how to pick the best sweepstakes to enter and how to avoid disqualifying yourself and dedication to enter regularly, even when it doesn't feel like you'll ever win. And you'll need discipline, to enter enough but not too much.

Remember: Entering Sweepstakes Is a Hobby, Not a Job

The more sweepstakes you enter, the better your odds of winning will be — as long as you keep it up. But if you're exhausting yourself trying to get "just one more entry," you could be ruining your chances in the long run. Burnout is real, and with a hobby as unreliable as entering sweepstakes, you have to protect yourself from it. It will stop you from winning long-term.

Not to mention that if you are putting too much time into entering sweepstakes, you could be damaging your relationships, risking your job, or jeopardizing your health. It's possible to get addicted to entering sweepstakes, and you don't want that to happen to you. As fun as winning sweepstakes is, you need to make sure you don't lose your perspective.

How to Boost Your Odds without Risking Burnout

It's a good idea to set a certain amount of time for entering sweepstakes that you can easily spare, and enter for that amount of time every day. Over the long run, it's less important how long that amount of time is, as long as it's regular and sustainable.

Maybe you could spend an hour on sweepstakes in the evenings while you unwind with some TV, or a half-hour entering while you sip a cup of coffee after breakfast. Maybe you could enter text sweepstakes while waiting to pick up your kids at school or while you're in line at the grocery store. Whatever works with your schedule.

Then, try to maximize the time you have so you get the most sweepstakes entries that you can during that time. Here are some tips:

  • Use a sweepstakes system that works for you to find giveaways you want to enter.
  • Organize your entries. A bookmarking system is free and can be used with any sweepstakes you find.
  • Follow tips to enter sweepstakes faster so you don't waste any precious time.
  • Don't give up. You might not see results immediately, but the prizes will come if you enter regularly.

Make Entering Sweepstakes Fun

Another way to keep from overdoing it with sweepstakes is to make it more fun. You might pick out a fun sweepstakes playlist, craft yourself some lucky charms, or read a good book about luck.

Remember: Winning is a marathon, not a sprint, so pace yourself and have fun with your entries.
