Sweepstakes Prizes:

Grand Prize (Flavor Science): A tour of Joan's flavor lab at Cadbury in New Jersey, plus a Science of Sweets Candy Factory Kit, a Perfume Science Kit, a Chem. 1000 Kit, and a set of Kids' Science Encyclopedia and Science Books.
Grand Prize (SETI): Tour of the SETI Institute.
Grand Prize (Water Ecology): Research voyage on San Francisco's Marine Science Institute vessel.
Grand Prize (Skateboarding): Skateboard factory tour and a demo for the winner's school.

Additional Comments:

To enter, submit an experiment or problem for a participating scientist to solve in one of four categories: flavor science, water quality, SETI, and skateboarding engineering. Entries will be judged on originality, experiment's relation to stated criteria, overall presentation. Limit of 1 entry per student or group per category. The first 1,000 students to enter will receive a free activity kit.

Grand prize trips include airfare for two (winner and a parent or guardian), hotel, some meals, and sightseeing, for a total value of about $3,000. See rules for more details.
